New and Fun at Woodland Park Zoo: The Willawong Station

“The willa what???” If you want to get technical, Willawong is an area near Brisbane, Australia; an Aboriginal word meaning “the junction of two creeks”. For Woodland Park Zoo, it is the name of a fun, new exhibit just loaded with birds, many Australian parrots.

This new walk-thru aviary offers visitors a fun opportunity to feed birds in a controlled, safe environment while learning about responsible care for birds both in the wild and at home. The aviary includes approximately 200 free-flying birds, primarily small colorful Australian parrots.

    Water, Water, Everywhere!

If you live in the great state of Washington, there’s one more thing you can count on besides death and taxes. And that’s water. As we all know, all that water has to go somewhere. Sadly, it sometimes goes places where we don’t want it to go. Like into finished basements or crawlspaces; even through foundations or the edge of the roof.

PermaDry Waterproofing is a locally owned and family operated specialty construction company, specializing in solving “at & below grade” waterproofing and drainage problems. And they can help you get rid of it.
