    Fragile Puppy Business

    Raphael, a Yorkshire terrier in Normandy Park, Washington, was born with a spinal problem. By the time he was two years old and weighed five pounds, his veterinarian declared that there was little hope for him. Owner, Krystal Hanson had an idea. With help from friend, Jeanne Wolfington, this idea has grown into a successful business that has been featured on Martha Stewart's and Christopher Lowell's television shows.

    White balls of fresh yeast dough - evenly sized - glide - evenly spaced - along a gleaming metal conveyor. Each one passes through a metal rolling press and is lifted by mini-elevator and dropped into a precisely calibrated, temperature controlled glass- encased oven. There the flattened bread rotates on the top tier and is quickly, yet gently flip-flopped onto the next lower tier where the process repeats and then repeats.
