A local contractor was ready to expand his business’ marketing strategy. He paid for design of a new logo, new business cards, truck signage and yard signs and a small ad in the local weekly newspaper.

A new goal has been bubbling up inside of me, a new idea, something extravagant and fun. It is a goal that will take my entire life to complete. I want to become a "foodie".

A "foodie" is, "A person who has an ardent or refined interest in food; a gourmet.”" Many of those who find themselves in an older generation than mine may refer to this as a food connoisseur or aficionado.

Many of us share a dream of helping a nonprofit group we feel strongly about — our church, our alma mater, a cultural institution, an environmental group, a human rights crusade, or a medical or social service organization. We would love to do something that would help others, to make a significant contribution, but feel that only the rich can afford to make a sizable donation.
