SeaTac Airport has always been working to improve systems as well as help with environmental issues. What they did last month might be one of their biggest changes yet, they are switching their ground support vehicles to electric which will save $2.8 million in fuel and 10,000 metric tons of gas emissions. At the conclusion of this project which is now in progress, around 650 vehicles will be changed to electric and 576 charging stations will be installed. The project is mostly funded through grants. We are so excited to hear this news!
